TOP END on Windows NT Update Course


SUMMARY:

This two day course provides an overview of the differences between TOP END on Windows NT and TOP END on UNIX.  Students will learn about these differences through both class lecture and hands-on exercises.  After completing the course, students will know how to design, define, and install a TOP END system on Windows NT, how to administer the system in a run-time environment, and how to develop client and server applications using the Microsoft Visual C++ compiler.

  • Using Microsoft Visual C++ to develop client and server applications on Windows NT
  • Use of Windows NT multi-threading in TOP END client and server applications

PREREQUISITES:

  • Introduction to TOP END course (or equivalent experience)
  • Windows NT or Windows 3.1 experience (recommended)
  • C programming experience (recommended)
